Either the Valve doesn't have a Container or the Container doesn't have a logger, neither of which should ever happen. What's your use-case? Is this embedded, or using Tomcat "normally" like starting-up from a script/service and deploying web applications to it? Did you upgrade from 8.5.34 and then it broke?
