Jakarta EE 9 is still in development - hence why the Tomcat 10 release is a Milestone. It isn't a given that libraries written to the Java EE 8 APIs will be updated for the Jakarta EE 9. If Jakarta EE 9 versions of libraries are not available then there are a couple of options: 1. Convert an existing JAR written for Java EE 8 to Jakarta EE 9 using the migration tool the Tomcat team has written for that purpose. 2. Stick with Tomcat 9.
