This is good to know. Unfortunately, changing the webapp is not an option as it comes to us from a vendor. The tomcat listener might be something we could do. I'll read up on that documentation and see if it will fit our needs. For the moment, I have managed to convince my web admins to do a full tomcat shutdown and not use the html manager in this case.
