I'm looking for more information on the 9.1 release of Apache Tomcat, specifically:
* is there an official release window other than soon before the EOS of 9.0.x? * insight into if the upgrade will break pre-existing code * confirmation on support for 9.1.x until 2030 For context, I work at a company that has outsourced data processing (JSON to KVP) to another company using 9.0.108 Apache Tomcat. We don't have access to the code that converts the data, we only have a schema that the other company gave us in which we give the form format with information about the JSON data being extracted from each field. The plan is to download 9.1.x when it releases, upgrade the version of Apache Tomcat, and then test to see if the code the other company wrote still works. The sooner 9.1.x is out, the sooner we can test to see if everything works, and my company is looking for a more solid release window to plan for said testing before 9.0.x support ends. How likely do you think it is the update will go smoothly without having to alter the code (I am aware that this question may be impossible to answer without the code itself to reference)? The good news is that we're working towards processing the JSON data into a KVP format ourselves instead of passing it off to another company, but the process of doing this for all of our e-forms will take time, hence the request to confirm how long 9.1.x will be supported. Thank you for your time, and I appreciate any help you can provide.
