Memtest86 is really the way to go.

You're not going to be able to find a tool that does what you want
remotely, unfortunately. The program needs raw access to the machine's
entire physical memory in order to do this test -- any OS will probably
interfere and play games with the memory, etc.

Do you have managed hosting? It might be time to call them. Unmanaged
hosting? Pay someone to walk in there with a memtest86 CD and run it for
you. Trust me.
