Java 6 has the last codec necessary for avoiding doing any ASN.1
whatsoever as part of HTTP Negotiate/SPNEGO/kerberos. With Java 6 it is
possible to implement it pretty cleanly using the GSS API. Without
jCIFS.

The krb5 extension to jCIFS might satisfy your needs:
