You didn't miss anything - Johnny K made that up. The OP (lightbulb432) started the thread with the misconception that the server, not the client, keeps track of cookies. At no point did anyone mention infinite session timeouts until Johnny K tried to use it to justify his "Tomcat will run out of memory" comment.
