Your suggestion suggests that I develop my own download file manager? So I can manipulate the buttons that are pressed by the user? Especially if these are large files, the users may be happy to use something like that. The manager would basically tell the service to start the download and if you do something like resume functionality, it would probably need to enter other records to show the progress.
