This application might help. Doesn't matter what versions you have. Takes a bit to get setup though.

If all you want is to be able to look at the log files, any editor will do. LambdaProbe can display the Tomcat log files in a browser - if it can be installed on your version of Tomcat, which you didn't bother to tell us. You also didn't tell us what platform you're running on, or whether you're using a standard Tomcat download or a 3rd-party repackaged version.
