Believe it or not, I didn't try

But I did in fact try
70: DataSource ds = (DataSource) initCtx.lookup("java:jdbc/myoracle"); to no
avail.
Let me test the first DataSource attempt and see.

Have you tried:

OR
70: DataSource ds = (DataSource) initCtx.lookup("java:jdbc/myoracle");
