Hello tomcats !! I learnt a lot since last discussion(problems at

I now wish to configure the datasource used by the realm to also be used by
hibernate....

problem is that I am possibly under the false impression that I am able to
use the datasource in hibernate as follows:

I get a decent explanation in exception:
avax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Name jdbc is not bound in this Context
ok, I can handle this but I was under the impression that name was global as
being used in engine node. So must I define a context.xml instead or is there a
way to bind the jndi datasource as so that it is found in this applications
context? My understanding is false here and will have a look at docs while I
wait on reply. Bare in mind that I will be sharing datasource and realm acroos
more applications so I have faith that server.xml is the correct place to put
this metadata.
