I think you will get better help by providing the following: -Which tomcat version are you using? -Which OS are you deploying on? -What is your memory setting for tomcat (if explicitly set)? -What's your file descriptor configuration in the OS (if explicitly set)? -does the problem arrive alongside an out of memory error? -are there any 'IO heavy' processes that run on your deployment machine along with tomcat (DB, etc)?
