No problem, I can figure it out. I actually went a different way as SessionListener has to be defined in the web.xml. Instead I went with an approach based on HttpSessionBindingListener. I'm testing this now with the Jira instance at issues.a.o and if all goes well, it will be in the next 7.0.x release.
