No. Do not touch Tomcat installation and return it to its original state. > There is no servlet-api.jar there. Please correct me if I got it wrong. You have to start from scratch and describe what exact error it was, before you broke your Tomcat installation, and how your project is configured. You should not have servlet-api.jar in your own project - it should be only a part of "Apache Tomcat" runtime. It should not be in WebContent/WEB-INF/lib. There is a FAQ on Eclipse + Tomcat somewhere.
