it looks as though TomEE/OpenEJB is reading the openejb-jar.xml file but is not trying to parse the openejb-jar block within that file:
Here is my openejb-jar.xml With garbage inserted at location 1, location 2, or location 3, nothing changes and no parser complains. With garbage inserted at location 4, the parser fails as expected.
