The Scala is still mostly a Java translation; it shouldn't make anyone's
head explode. Eventually I hope to make the code more explosive.

Re: captchas, it hasn't needed any so far. Akismet is very good, and
whenever I change the submit forms (for other reasons) it throws off the
spammer scripts. So then I get key/value exceptions instead of spam.
