For once, I can answer my own question. I just realized that I can cast the PageMap to SecondLevelCachePageMap, which lets me access lastPage.
Don't know if this is the best solution, but it should work as long as I do not provide another PageMap myself. If there is a more elegant solution, I'd still like to hear it though.
