Also, in MySQL syntax, you've got stuff like this that gets you right to the
page you want:

     sql = "Select ... whatever ..";
     sql += " limit " + query.getFrom() + ","+query.getCount();
Oracle and other variants have similar options - I agree conn pool probably
makes most difference.
