And that conversion is now completed. We are at wicket 1.4(.9) and everything seems to be fine. I think we can release wicket-security-1.4.0 today. If we don't get to it, expect the release next week. We will post an announcement on this list. Until then, you can use 1.4-rc1. Nothing has changed since then, because no bugs were found.
