Don't worry about the synchronization of markup ids. Inside my "populateItem" method I did:
Label moreInfo = new Label("more-info", "more-info"); moreInfo.setOutputMarkupId(true); moreInfo.setMarkupId("more-info" + listItem.getIndex()); and the same thing with the WebMarkupContainer.
