Check for JavaScript errors.
Also check the produced HTML. Find the <a> tag for the link, get its
'id' and search for Wicket.Ajax.get({u: 'someUrl', c: 'theLinkId', e:
'click'});
Check with Firebug/Dev tools that and Ajax call is fired when you click.
