Imagine you have an AJAX action and that action replaces a panel... your page does not blocks the UI so the user can e.g. click on a component of the panel to be replaced (e.g the same of different AJAX action). As AJAX actions are queued at client side second action will only be executed aster first is finished... but then the target component is no longer visible on the server side...
