While resolving our latest issue, a co-worker asked me why we don't just make a visitor to set every component to have setOutputMarkupId(true)? It seems harmless, and corrects a common mistake people make of not setting it.
Is there something I'm not seeing? Is there a way to default this to true for all components other than a visitor in every page? And if I did this, are there side effects that I am not seeing?
