We're using the mediawiki parser from wikimodel 
(http://code.google.com/p/wikimodel/). There are some known issues, see:
http://code.google.com/p/wikimodel/issues/list

Feel to report new issues you find there or in the XWiki JIRA project at 
http://jira.xwiki.org.

Note that compared to the XWiki Syntax there are quite a lot of things you 
cannot do with the mediawiki syntax. That's why we recommend using the XWiki 
Syntax 2.0 as much as possible.
