As for the user and the initial database name to connect (yes you have to duplicate this information) to you will find it in /WEB-INF/hibernate.cfg.xml file. In fact unless you use the Debian installer or the standalone distribution you generally have to configuring it since the one in the WAR is for hsqldb.
