You can force any skin by adding ?skin=<someskin> to the URL. For example http://http://waihonapedia.myxwiki.org/xwiki/bin/admin/XWiki/XWikiPreferences?editor=globaladmin§ion=Presentation&skin=flamingo give you access to your admin with the standard skin flamingo so that you can change the skin to something else.
