Please let me know your interest. Position: Project Manager Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: 1+ year contract Max rate is $40/hr. Can not exceed 40. * * *Technical PM UPDATE* 1. This is for the HSI (High Speed Internet) group. Several different projects going on simultaneously. 2. Daily tasks will be to handle release management in addition to project management. 3. Start with requirements, work with BA's (they prefer someone with some BA skills), work directly with the business and the technical team internally, run through the entire process to launch. 4. Release management – will be assigned to track releases of 2 of their 5 applications. 1)Tools application….migrate functionality from one tool to another. 2)Provisioning Automated Web Service (PAWS) application….middleware type of application and will need to coordinate with several different teams and other interfaces. 5. Solid PM who has great communication skills and fits well into environment. Be flexible b/c there is constant change in this group. Key will be building relationships with the business as well as the technical team. 6. MS Project, Excel, Word skills required. 7. Soft skills are more important than specific tools and technical experience. Writing (clear and consise) is also important. Doesn't necessarily have to be technical, but needs to be able to communicate with technical development team. 8. Understanding of Java is helpful b/c most is written in Java, but not required. 9. Telecom experience preferred. The CHSI Project Manager is charged with the oversight of the development and implementation of software projects to meet the business plan of record initiatives. PM will also be responsible for managing software monthly releases, speed changes, budget tracking and other strategic objectives. PM will conduct risk assessments, facilitate communication across all groups and ensure compliance with the defined process and/or implementation methods. In addition, the PM works with the DPS project management team to analyze the existing project management methods and process improvement initiatives.
