Location: NYC, NY Duration: 6 + months Hyper-productive java developer needed. Must have a deep understanding of agile practices. Must live and breathe test driven development. The use of a professional development environment, as opposed to eclipse, is mandatory. A thorough understanding of the word, 'professional' is expected, as is a degree in software engineering or computer science, with preference going to the former. Spring 3 holds no secrets for you. You shun XML and thank God, daily, for annotations. Your bookshelf includes works from Hunt, Jeffries, Beck, Fowler, and Glass, but they're nearly lost amongst a forest of books on related, and sometimes apparently unrelated topics. You find relaxing whilst watching TV an interesting concept that you think you'll try one day, when you've finished your book maybe. We’re looking for someone with architectural and design skills with a lot of hands on experience. If you’re average, move on – we’re only looking for high-performers who are always right, who are very fast. We have looming deadlines, so you’ll have to come up to speed quickly, and we’re currently working late-ish most days with an expectation that we’ll be over the crunch in about six weeks. The skill-set is: Agile (scrum + XP) IntelliJ Idea, Maven jUnit4, Java, annotations, spring (core, annotations, web, etc), WS*, JPA, hibernate, JMS, JMX*, mocking, patterns, refactoring.
