Software Quality Assurance Analyst *Job Description:* Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Must have at least 4-7 years of testing experience. Your primary objectives will be to ensure that applications meet business customer requirements, comply with company and industry standards and are implemented with no systemic or client impact. You will provide quality assurance support for assigned projects including new enhancements, hardware and software application installations or upgrades and custom client implementations. Experience with zOS Mainframe, Windows, UNIX and/or Solaris environments. Experienced testing COBOL, CICS, DB2, C#, .NET, Oracle and ETL tools. Good analytical and complex problem solving skills coupled with attention to detail. Can write complex SQL statements. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. The environment is fast-paced and the activities vary within the day, with the pace set by department protocol, customer demands, and project schedules. Reviews requirements and specification documentation associated with the projects to develop test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for system, integration regression, performance, and user acceptance testing cycles. Writes and maintains test automation. Provides continual enhancements to test scripts as new features are introduced or issues arise. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics. Must have a working knowledge of quality assurance standards and methodologies. Communicates with customers or interfacing applications concerning testing responsibilities, testing schedules, connectivity, environment availability, issues, and test results related to their role in the testing cycles. Ensures internal changes and process improvements are well planned, documented and executed on time. Responsible for the development of detailed quality assurance processes. Supports business continuity and disaster recovery development and testing. Occasionally performs weekend and off hour support for system/application testing and unexpected production interruptions. Performs issue logging, documentation and tracking through resolution. Develops understanding of application capabilities, job streams and system architecture. Creates test data for testing systems changes.
