Configuration Consultant Technical Summary



The configuration developer will be primarily responsible for modifying the
Guidewire application itself to conform to Penn National Insurance specific
requirements. Guidewire applications provide multiple configuration
mechanisms that configuration developers make use of to meet business
requirements.



Key Skill Set:



•             Experience in Guidewire Billing Center including Analysis,
Configuration, and implementation experience (Claim Center or Policy Center
could be substituted).

•             Experience writing business rules and other business logic in
GScript (Guidewire-specific  Goshu scripting language)

•             Experience in using Guidewire development environments around
configurations, use of Guidewire tools like Guidewire Studio for
development and rules design and implementation

•             Experience in configuring screen layouts utilizing Guidewire
Studio, including creation of new screens, in XML files

•             Experience in object-oriented programming

•             Java / J2EE including JSP, EJB, J2EE, Struts

•             Experienced in various management tools, including Rally and
TFS

•             Experience in an Agile Scrum environment to develop next
generation applications

•             Experience creating form and letter templates and their
supporting XML descriptor files

•             Experience configuring operational parameters such as roles
and permissions, user attributes regions, etc.

•             Experience with creating and managing sample data

•             Experience with creating and modifying reports

•             Experience with resolving issues identified in testing

•             Experience with managing the overall application
configuration and merging it with new releases of the Guidewire application





Integration Consultant Technical Summary



The Integration/Application Architect designs and writes integration
programs that interact directly with the Guidewire application. These are
programs that make use of standard APIs or other integration mechanisms to
transmit data from, extract data from, push data to, or pull data into the
Guidewire applications.  This person will be able to solve integration
architectural issues  based on current enterprise-wide architectural
standards.



Key Skill Set:



•             Experience with integration of Guidewire Billing Center
(Claim Center or Policy Center could be substituted)

•             Microsoft Technologies: C#, VB.NET, VBScript, Web Services,
SSIS, BizTalk, MS SQL 2008

•             Hands-on XML and related technologies like XSL, XSLT.

•             Experience with integrating to one or more of the following
systems (PMS V6 or V7, Phoenix, Unicenter, Lockbox, IVR, Image Right,
Exstream, Peoplesoft)

•             Experience in Property and Casualty Insurance industry.

•             Experienced in various Project Management/SCM tools,
including Rally and TFS

•             Experience in designing overall integration architecture

•             Lead and participate in designing and coding integration
programs

•             Experience in an Agile Scrum development methodology (to
develop next generation applications based on the Guidewire Product suite)

•             Reviewing high-level technical designs

•             Researching and solving complex technical problems involving
multiple systems or integrations
