Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. *Responsibilities:* - Develop software for very high performance, real time - networking products - Translate product requirements to high quality, scalable - modular products - Maintain and enhance existing code as necessary to support customer requirements - Research and recommend new technologies, framework and tools - Additional duties as assigned *Qualifications:* - B.S. degree required in a related field or equivalent experience - 8 years of programming experience required - *Strong experience in software design using OOP/OOD and complex data structures* - *Hands on programming experience in Java and/or C/C++* - *Experience programming in a scripting language such as: Python, PHP, Perl, Ruby* - *Experience with various frameworks and protocols such as REST, MVC, Spring, XML, JSON, AJAX, GUI frameworks (e.g., jQuery)* - Strong experience with relational databases and application servers. *Experience using Hibernate* and JDBC a plus. - Experience developing low latency, multi-threaded, high performance products and applications - *Experience with network protocols (e.g., SNMP, TCP/IP), LAN switching and packet capture and analysis highly preferred* - Deep understanding of *Linux/Unix Systems Architecture*.
