*Title: Sr. Systems Administrator* Location: Iowa City, IA Duration: 1+ yr contract *Description:* Sr. Systems Administrator is responsible for the setup, maintenance and administration of an Enterprise Content Management system, OnBase. *The position requires an individual who has demonstrated technical prowess in a 500+ server, 1,000+ user environment* and who can manage the implementation of an OnBase system while working with other groups in IT and across the enterprise. This individual must work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. This person must also network with key contacts outside their own area of expertise for issue identification & resolution. Key duties include: • Participate and provide input with the architecture and design of departmental and enterprise-level healthcare-related systems. • Collaborate with service owners and vendors to define the scope • Install and maintain enterprise-class content management system and all related processes, including backup/restore, security policies and virus protection, tuning, capacity planning, and monitoring of all resources to ensure high availability of all services provided • Address operational systems issues including file and share permissions, user accounts and installing applications. • Write procedure documentation for peers and junior staff • Write installation and setup documentation for supported systems • Write and document test plans for system implementation and maintenance • Plan and implement upgrades • Troubleshoot and provide problem resolution for complex server issues • Provide mentoring and cross-training of Systems Administration and Service Desk staff for a successful transition from project implementation to operational support. * * *Required Qualifications/Experience:* • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, other IT-related degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • *Typically 5-7 years of experience in IT infrastructure development* • Experience *implementing OnBase in a large and complex organization.* • Technically fluent in server hardware and *Windows Server administration 2003 or later.* • Accuracy and attention to detail with strong organizational skills. • Ability to effectively document procedures and instructions. • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and strong interpersonal skills. *Desired Qualifications/Experiences:* • OnBase Certified System Administrator (OCSA) • Experience supporting SAN-attached devices and tools such as NAS, PowerPath, EMC VMAX, and VPLEX. • Familiar with system backup technologies. • Familiar with server hardening methodologies and practical implementation experience.
