Title: Linux System Administrator
Contract Duration: 6 months +
Location: New Haven, Connecticut

Minimum Requirements:

4+ years experience supporting production Linux systems

Thorough knowledge of and experience with Linux operating systems,
utilities, tools and applications

Production experience with:

   - Automated install, automated build and deployment (Jenkins or similar
   tools)
   - Automated configuration management (CFEngine, Chef, Puppet or similar
   tools)
   - Enterprise monitoring systems (Opsview, Nagios, or similar tools)
   - Server virtualization (VMware)
   - Load balancing (F5 or similar)
   - Web servers (Apache)
   - Java application servers (JBoss or similar)
   - Enterprise storage (NetApp, Isilon, 3PAR or similar)
   - Business continuity and disaster recovery plan development

Demonstrated ability to write scripts in an administrative scripting
language such as Shell, Perl or Python

Demonstrated ability to write technical documentation for a technical
audience

Excellent communication and organizational skills


Description:

Work as part of a team of system administrators to provide Linux server
administration, support and technical guidance for mission-critical
administrative and academic applications in a dynamic, 24/7 production data
center environment.
