Telecom Expense Manager

Job Description

To provide all circuit and service provisioning, audit, payment, inventory
management, and end user support for all wireline and wireless
telecommunications services.  The position is responsible for the proper
alignment of the provider capabilities and services with the needs of
customer, overall performance of the provider, and total satisfaction of
the end user community.  Specifically, the Telecom Expense Manager will be
responsible for:

·         Customer alignment

·         Process management

·         Supplier performance

o   Provisioning/Follow through

o   Bill audit

o   Inventory management

o   Wireless portal

·         Technology integration performance

·         Continuous improvements

·         Customer satisfaction

Capturing data from data and voice telecommunications carriers and related
vendors, including:

·         Sorting carrier documentation into pre-assigned categories,

·         Scanning and digitizing data,

·         Loading data and translating images (e.g., utilizing advanced
optical character recognition technologies) to analyze-able information,
and

·         Providing electronic reports of index-able data,

Validating the content of invoices by rule sets set according to Customer
Standards and industry best practices,

Allocating charges to accounts, sub-accounts, phone numbers, employees,
locations, and line items, all pursuant to Customer chargeback
requirements,

Integrating with Customer's accounts payables systems, as approved by
Customer, to implement payment of Customer approved bills,

Providing an extensive array of standard and customized reports on all
aspects of data collected through the telecom expense management tools and
processes,

Managing disputes pursuant to Customer Standards and creating a secure,
online site for Customer to initiate and manage all disputes,

Providing capability for Customer to place circuit orders for a wide
variety of telecom services, including status tracking and reporting
capabilities for Authorized Users, and

Maintaining all inventory information online and making all inventory
available through automated feeds to Customer or Provider managed systems,
all as directed by Customer.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field;

Three to five years supporting corporate programs and respective end users
through process and technology

Three to five years' experience in telecommunications or related field
preferred

Required Experience

Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal,
facilitation, oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member
of a project team.

Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a
fast-paced environment.

Must be detailed oriented - with strong attention to accuracy and problem
solving. "Following-up until resolved" skills are a must.

Skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

An influencer with excellent oral and written communication skills when
dealing with customers, team members, and suppliers
