REQUIREMENT DETAILS:* Project: Teradata Developer Location: San Francisco,CA -Must be local. Interview F2F Minimum skills: • 7+ years’ experience in logical data modeling • Experience with Financial Industry data and models • Extensive "hands-on" data model development and change experience with Erwin /ModelMart • Ability to work with minimal supervision, and exhibits excellent initiative, motivation, and desire to learn • Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modeling and data architecture to cross functional groups and senior levels. • Experience and interest in working in fast-paced environments Preferred skills: • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts a plus • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred • Prior working knowledge on one or more of the database platforms (Teradata ,ORACLE, DB2, MSSQL) 6-12 months. Senior level Logical Data Modeler (LDM). In this role, the candidate must be able to understand and analyze business requirements, manage the modeling process from conceptualization to logical model. The LDM will collaborate with the DBA team to produce and validate the physical and semantic models. The candidate will also convert and maintain existing BMG physical data structures into a model using a tool like Erwin. Daily activities could include any/all of the following: • Works with Business contacts, Requirements Analysts (i.e Business Enablers – BEs) and Subject Matter Experts to identify, understand and analyze business needs for data requests • Develops and maintains the Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models for the data environment in collaboration with the DBAs • Works closely with the team on the creation and maintenance of models, data mapping and metadata • Collaborates with Business and ETL developers in the creation of the Data Functional Design and specifications document • Provides senior-level consulting services in the identification and resolution of data design issues *2. REQUIREMENT DETAILS:* *Position: Oracle DBA with some Sybase experience* *Duration: 18 months* *Location: Des Moines, IA* *Responsibilities:* Database Administrator that can be on-call to cover first response problem tickets for DBMS from Oracle and Sybase strength needs to be in Oracle but have experience with Sybase so they can at least look into Sybase issues. Their primary support role will be helping to support Wells Fargo Oracle database applications therefore they must have strong hands on working knowledge of: •Oracle 10g and 11g and Sybase 15 •Oracle Dataguard, Oracle OEM, Oracle CRS •Replication tools such as Oracle Streams, Quest Shareplex, and Oracle Golden Gate • Knowledge and experience using Sybase PowerDesigner to provide insight and oversight of database models • Ability to problem solve database issues while on-call 24x7 • strong Knowledge of performance data collection, performance monitoring and performance improvement. • Knowledge of backups and recovery, Security Administration, Database and Server Performance Monitoring and Tuning, and Capacity Planning. • Effective and clear communication, independent worker, and leadership skills are key. *Minimum Qualifications: * 7+ years database design and administration experience with Oracle (10g, 11g) on Linux or Solaris and at least 5 years experience with Oracle RAC. This individual will provide the highest technical expertise for the planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's server-class databases. Handles and leads the most complex or critical data/ database management initiatives that typically involve multiple disciplines and multiple business groups, including responsibility for database architecture, design, integration, and/or data modeling. As the recognized technical expert, consults extensively with multiple client groups to provide strategic solutions, influencing long-range internal and enterprise level data/ database architecture and management strategies. Serves as a consultant on technological advancements. Provides oversight, mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff.
