*Job Description:*
*Position : Security Engineer *
*Location : Providence, RI*
*Duration : 7 Months*
This position is responsible for network and security operational support
escalations. Candidates must have a strong background in security and are
in tune with providing top level design and implementation expertise.
Understanding of both Project related work and extensive security skills
are a priority. The Network security lead will deliver top tier support to
design new technical solutions and build out of problems, based upon
business requirements. This resource will overlook the support and
monitoring processes of tools and systems, and will play a role in the
configuration of devices and services.
Primary responsibilities include serving as an expert in the technical
field of network and security knowledge, driving recommendations and
solutions in the area of design, development, testing and implementation of
technology solutions; configuration, design and troubleshooting of network
infrastructure including but not limited to firewalls, IDS, and networking
equipment and managing network escalations. In addition, provides an
architectural perspective when providing improvements to existing standards
and methods of delivery. This candidate will have expert level experience
in the network security field and will be physically on site 5 days a week,
with likely some evening implementation.
*REQUIRED:*
• Minimum 7+ Years Network Security Experience
• Candidate must have a strong understanding of Cisco ASA firewalls and
general security
• Experience in the detection and mitigation of DDoS attacks
• One or more of the following certifications is required - CCNP, CCSP,
CISSP, CCIE or equivalent
• Experience with the following is desired: *F5 Big IP LTM/GTM, Cisco ACS,
F5 Fire pass, Zenoss, Algosec, QRadar, Stealth Watch, Source fire, Palo
Alto Firewalls, Cisco ASA Firewalls*
• Considered SME in technology field and has expert knowledge of equipment,
protocols, technologies, services, and monitoring tools.
• Self-sufficient - Able to lead, take ownerships and manage small teams
