Position: Java Architects Location: Either Seattle, WA or Richardson, Texas Duration: 4 Years These are 4 year hourly rate contracts and we can look at h-1b holders. We are seeking a web architect. This is a hands-on position expected to provide code-level guidance as well as creating working examples and prototypes to drive solutions and guide development teams. Responsible for multiple projects or large complex projects with cross functional teams and business processes. Demonstrate expert knowledge in multiple technical and business functional areas as well as performing a larger leadership role in the organization. Apply broad in-depth business and technical knowledge to establish technical direction and priorities. Resolve and work on issues across multiple functional areas. Effectively monitor and take action to ensure coordination and effectiveness of all components and activities and decide on issues requiring escalation. Incumbents understand the system flow for a project throughout an entire functional area (e.g. Billing, Customer Care) not just a subsystem area. In addition, candidate must have a thirst for knowledge and emerging web technologies to define strategies and design architectures for the future success of att.com. Required Skills: - 5+ years experience as a Java/J2EE web application architect. - 10 Years experience in development with specific experience in one or more of the following: Java, JSP/JSTL, SQL, scripting, XML/SOAP. - Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, DHTML, JSP, AJAX, XML, XSLT and basic UI - Technologies - Strong object oriented design and design patterns experience - Web Architect role will participate in the design and development of highly interactive consumer facing and enterprise web sites - 10+ years’ experience working directly with the construction of public facing websites or web applications. - Experience with RESTful API design for consumer facing and enterprise applications - REST service development and consumption - Agile development and team leadership. - Strong ability to express thought in oral, written and pictorial form - Strong knowledge of UNIX, Apache and eCommerce platforms like ATG, BEA or WebSphere. - Strong knowledge of RDBMS systems, especially Oracle, and *object-relational mapping* (ORM) frameworks like hibernate, and JPA. - Experience delivering 24x7, high volume web applications in clustered and multi-tier environments, with strong understanding of robust threading, pooling, connection, and transaction mgt. - Experience creating an ecommerce site from user experience down to the database and across web service interfaces to the enterprise. - Ability to serve as evangelist of architectural vision, strategy, and principles creating enterprise frameworks that allow other architects, developers and IT professionals to work in sync Education: - BS degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Engineering or equivalent technical degree required - MS degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Engineering or equivalent technical degree preferred *Thanks and Regards* *Arvind Nagar* *Sr. Technical Recruiter * *Email- arv...@idctechnologies.com <arv...@idctechnologies.com>* *Direct-408-457-9381 Ext-4073 !!
