Works with designer/analysts to implement enhancements or new applications in a JEE environment. Attends meetings to understand desired results, coding, unit and/or system testing, and documents changes. Occasionally requires troubleshooting and correcting production issues in emergency type situations. May also direct work of junior application developers. Responsibilities: • Designs and codes programs; creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and revise programs. Writes documentation that describes installation and operating procedures • Writes new programs of moderate complexity and scope, working with basic applications, systems designs, and specifications and utilizing standard procedures and techniques • Interfaces with system designers to design, code, test and implement application programs. Assists in developing application specifications • Participates in post-implementation reviews of both application development content and process to maximize and share learning Basic Qualifications: • Bachelors Degree • 2 Years experience in Application Development using Java, JEE, Linux • Strong analytic capability • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills • Strong oral and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: • Sun Certification, Java, UNIX • Familiarity with commercial banking concepts is desired • Mobile development experience (iPhone, Android) *2. REQUIREMENT DETAILS:* *Title:* Oracle/SQL DBA *Duration:* 3 months with continued extensions *Rate: *60 corp to corp all inclusive *Location:* New York near Wall Street Local candidates only *Interview Process:* Phone then face to face *Required Skills: * · 7+ years of Oracle DBA experience on Unix environment · Strong Experience with Oracle ASM storage and Oracle RAC · Experience with SQL coding and tuning · Must have experience with Oracle11g, Oracle RAC, Oracle Grid, RMAN and Unix shell scripting · Must be hands-on, technically adept DBA, capable of performing required DB tasks. · Deep knowledge with Oracle 11g databases, strong RAC/clustering experience, RMAN, and Data Guard experience required. · Must demonstrate proficiency to administer Oracle databases running in AIX · Strong troubleshooting/performance tuning skills required. Must be able improve SQL performance. · Ability to diagnose problems and triage/resolve issues across various tiers (application, network, database, server, or storage tiers). · Ability to implement automation to reduce manual administrative tasks through use of jobs, shell scripts, PL/SQL, cron, or other techniques. · 8 to 10 years of SQL Server Database administration experience. (2000, 2005, 2008, 2012) · *Expert level of SQL Server RDBMS* installation/configuration, patching, troubleshooting, performance tracking/tuning, back-up/recovery, remote monitoring skills with hands-on experience in -large and very dynamic environments. · Experience with SQL Server Cluster, Replication, Log Shipping for HA/DR. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Experience with very complex database environments. · Must have experience in SQL and/or PL/SQL. · Experience in working controlled environment, change control, and validated systems. *Functional/Management Skills: * · Strong commitment to following SDLC/Change-Management principles · Self-starter and be able to perform work with minimal supervisory direction · Knowledge of data quality, data management and data testing strategies and practices · Strong Oral and written skills. · Able to communicate efficiently and effectively to technical and nontechnical audiences. · Anticipate and handle critical situations. · Ability to thrive in change.
