Please help to fill below requirement:- *Role: **Cognos **Developer* *Location: New York City-local area candidates only * *Duration: 4 mo with potential to extend * Excellent communication skills is a requirement (Incumbent MUST speak English fluently) The Business Intelligence Consultant will participate in the design, development, and implementation of customer BI solutions utilizing Cognos. The BI Consultant also works with clients to understand, analyze, and refine the application requirements and, where needed, provides guidance on cognos and methodologies. The BI consultant will unit test and deliver the application for an integration test. The BI Consultant demonstrates a high degree of Cognos expertise and development skills. The BI Consultant may be the Lead Consultant on a project. Looking for: Track record of delivering multiple successful BI reporting projects with Cognos Expertise with Cognos BI suite, tools and capabilities. Experience with Physical DB design and Semantic Models. Solid experience with Teradata 13.x or higher and Teradata Utilities Responsibilities: Report Development Life Cycle from development to testing and to production Create complex queries and support all production issues Partner with internal teams and clients to perform "needs analysis" in order to develop report solutions Partner with internal teams and clients to collaboratively work through the report development process Analyze processes and look for means to improve efficiency and reduce bottlenecks Serve as a key resource for team members and clients as needed Develop BI solutions that follow standards, best practices and meet/exceed performance guidelines 3-5+ years’ experience with Report Studio, Framework Manager, PowerPlay Transformer, Analysis Studio, Metrics Studio Skills & Experience: 5+ years of Cognos Development with progressive experience Developed and maintained reporting solutions for large applications Managed release and deployment of data solutions for large applications Ability to provide both logical and physical data modeling Expertise in T/PL/SQL and database scripting Proficient in Database Architectures and data mappings.
