*IT Project Manager* *Duration: Long Term* *BirlaSoft * *Location: Peoria, IL * *Rate - $60/hr. c2c max* *7-8 years of Experience* *PMP Certification* *IT PM experience which includes requirements, Reporting, managing resources, etc as defined in JD Tools Like MS Project or Primerva experience* *Summary:* The main function of a Project Manager is to define requirements, plan, track, and manage projects of medium complexity in a demanding environment. Job Responsibilities: Identify and estimate project resources, schedule delivery, and task details. Budget for and manage project costs. Manage business partner and supplier involvement throughout project. Manage change, project deliverables, and project direction while adhering to Caterpillar's standard project management methodology. *Skills:* Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational, customer service and interpersonal skills. Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time as well as being a collaborative team member. Proven experience with project management concepts, including project charters, scheduling and planning projects within Primavera or experience or training using tools to manage projects, such as Microsoft Project or Excel. Proven ability to work with Enterprise-wide program managers and project leads. Strong project leadership and decision-making. Business planning/processes, accounting, and change management acumen. *Education/Experience:* Training in project management or project management related skills, such as Young & Clark and Associates or Project Management Institute’s PMP certification. 7-8 years’ project management experience required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent training required. Work with teams to formally document project Scope, identify project resources, create project plan, estimate project cost. Lead the team in documenting requirements. Ensure appropriate signoffs for Scope, Requirements, Design and Testing. Meet with project team regularly to obtain updates. Report out project status to stakeholders regularly, including timeline, risks, issues, budget. Escalate issues appropriately. Develop rollout plan, communication plan, risk mitigation plans. *Lead the team in documenting lessons learned. Requirements: Bachelors degree, PMP Certification, 1-3 years experience with IT projects (application, not infrastructure). * *K.M.
