Prefer local as client wants onsite interview*. *Description:* *Qualifications:* · Very strong analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and create a clear solution · Very strong knowledge of operational transactional database design (OLTP / Relational Database) · Very strong modeling skills, to represent design information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language, including using modeling languages already established in the organization · Strong understanding and experience with Entity-relationship model (ERM) , Dimensional Modeling (Kimball methodology), & Metadata repository technology · Strong experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) · Strong understanding of insurance underwriting and policy administration systems (both functional and technical) · Strong experience and understanding of the software development lifecycle design and implementation · Experience with Master Data management concepts and implementation · Strong writing skills, to communicate information effectively to managers, and technical staff · Strong interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as business owners, project management, and software development) · Strong interviewing skills, to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential business problem and solution · Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner · Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field *Knowledge Needed:* · 5+ years of hands on development experience in data models and analysis · 2+ years of on enterprise transactional data systems · 2+ years of dimensional data modeling · Thorough experience and understanding of the data architecture approaches, design methodologies and design patterns · Practical experience with data modeling tools such as Embarcadero or ErWin Hands-on experience with interactive SQL and SQL Server · Understand of multi-dimensional and operational data store (ODS) models · Understanding of ETL processes and Data Warehousing Architecture & Design · Familiarity with a variety of data modeling tools, specifically Embarcadero · Practical experience implementing SOA is a plus · Insurance domain knowledge is a plus, to have credibility with user representatives and be able to work effectively with them · Familiarity with a variety of standards such as ACORD Information Model, IBM's IAA (IIW) data model and general XSD schema is a plus *K.M.
