* Detailed Job Description:*

The Sr. Java/SOA Developer will design, implement, test and maintain web
services accessed by internal and external clients including customer
self-service applications and web-based interfaces into subscriber
management system for use by customers and customer care agents;

*Minimum Qualifications:*

Bachelor Degree

10 years of relevant experience

*Duties and Responsibilities:*

• Model system behaviors using SOA best practices for communicating
architecture and design.

•        Interpret business requirements and accurately reflect these
requirements in the design and the development of the web services.

•       Follow high level of standards across all levels of design and
development work.

•       Work closely with other areas of the company including business
teams and other

design/development teams.

•       Contribute to the specification and transition to development of
unit, system,

integration, stress and user acceptance testing.

•       Design and develop to performance requirements in an effort to
ensure that all

applications are highly scalable and can support high volumes of traffic.

•       Perform code reviews to ensure that code is compliant with design
and coding

standards.

*Requirements and General Skills:*

•       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•        Services Oriented Architectures (SOA), the related standards and
technologies are an important area for this role.

•       Very strong knowledge of application architecture and SOA
integration technologies.

•       Very strong experience in application development using JAVA, J2EE

•       Knowledge of design patterns (Mandatory)

•        Experience in working in SOA Enterprise- level projects including
at least one involving legacy systems transformation to a SOA platform.

•       Very strong understanding of SOA patterns - ESB, Gateway, Router,
Broker etc.

•        Clear understanding of Web services approach including Web service
implementation approaches such as SOAP/ XML, REST (Optional) Familiarity
with WS* standards .

•       Experience with CXF web services framework.

•       Familiarity with SOAPUI and other web service testing tools.

•       Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

*Technical Skills:*

•       10+ years Java, J2EE, JSP development experience.

•       5+ Years of SOA related technology experience (CXF,Axis etc.)

•        5+ years of web service design experience: SOAP Request/Response
handling, authentication, CXF, ESB, SOA naming standards, best practices
etc.

•        Experience in at least one project involving legacy systems
transformation to a SOA platform.

•       Any experience in SOA governance tools would be a big plus.

•       Experience setting up and maintaining a SOA service registry.

•       Experience in Design Patterns (JEE & SOA) both are mandatory.

•       Experience with SOAP UI is mandatory.

•       Candidate must have strong structured methodology experience

•       Use of Unified Modeling Language (UML) to conceive a design

•       Knowledge of web security standards and how to apply them

*Preferred Skills:*

•     SQL and common database knowledge (Oracle 10g)

•     Basic UNIX experience.

•     Source code control systems: eg CVS

•     Build processes and Ant/Maven.

•     Experience with large scale, high volume web-based applications.

•     Experience with internationalization.
