The Senior Software Developer is also responsible for ensuring all software developed is of sound quality, meeting documented ease of use scenarios and packaged for final deliverable to meet the intended needs of the business. The Senior Software Developer will need to demonstrate in-depth experience with SDLC models with a focus on technology knowledge, software design/development and deployment best practices. The Senior Software Developer is responsible to leverage their technical skill set to keep UC on the cutting edge of technology while maintaining our presence as a leader in the Information Technology Education industry. Utilize the requirements provided, technical knowledge and customer interaction to deliver software as requested to meet the business needs as documented. Demonstrated knowledge of .Net, SQL Server, Java, C++ and HTML software, coding practices, support, de-bugging and maintenance. Utilize best methods of software development to deliver quality projects. Provide detailed design and support documentation for all new development. Lend support to various business and technology teams as necessary during project delivery. Effectively manage multiple priorities. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and exhibit ownership of project deliverables *Senior SQL Developer Job Requirements:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related degree with three (3) years of experience; or an Associate's degree with five (5) years of experience; or a combination of relevant education and seven (7) years of experience. Preferred candidates will also have experience in object-oriented programming, basic knowledge of XML and XSL and also have experience in developing and consuming web services. Ideal candidates will Possesses significant knowledge of internet systems architectures; Creates well designed, reusable objects; Understands browser specific compatibility issues; Understands the benefits of the various design methodologies and object oriented environments. A background in data analysis, structured and non-structured database environments such as Hadoop, NoSQL and Mongo.
