*Description: Production support role*


This position will work in the Breakfix team focusing on the Unix/Linux
server environment. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining
Unix/Linux physical and virtual servers in a fast paced environment with
minimal supervision. The Breakfix team is responsible for patching, working
on operational tasks, and assisting the breakfix team as needed. There is a
limited amount of on call, approximately one weekend every 4-6 weeks. This
position reports to the Breakfix team manager.

• Enterprise environment – Greater than 100 servers (mixed)
• If someone has strong experience in SUSE or Redhat they can support the
other with minimal training
• Something within last 2-3 years
• Looking for combination of Linux and Solaris

§ 2 - Redhat enterprise Linux versions 5.x and above
§ 3 - Solaris 9.x and above
§ 4 - HPUX 11.23 and above (Optional)

§ Secure System builds in enterprise environment (greater than 100 servers)
using:
• Yast – (SUSE)
• Jumpstart – (Redhat)
• Kickstart – (Solaris)
§ Scripting / Programming – Ability to write from scratch as well as
read/update/modify existing scripts (day to day basis as required)
• Perl (Key)
• Shell (Bourne , ksh, bash) (Key)

§ Storage / San – understanding – provisioning and managing from server
side (UNIX/Linux)

• Sun Volume Manager
