Further responsibilities/duties are listed below:* · Understand existing systems before producing code · Produce code that is well-architected, clearly decoupled maintainable and secure · Create web services and middle tier codes · Demonstrate adherence to excellent design principles as well as understanding what makes a secure and efficient system · Develops programming applications in an agile development environment · Work and understand end user requirements; and translates business requirements in to state of the art technical solutions · Works with other teams and specialists within the organization · Identify the scope of an area of development work, to recognize and understand the potential impact on other areas and to provide accurate time estimates to a successful project completion · Provides development support to existing applications *Qualifications* *Education*: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or mathematics *Skills/Experience:* * Required:* - 4 + years of experience in application design and development in Java - Experience in developing Java Web Services using JAX-WS, JAX-RS, Apache CXF or JBossWS (AS7) framework - Experience and proficiency in SOA applications - Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with other teams - Strong communication and problem-solving skills - Very good attention to detail - Ability to produce clear and concise documentation - Experience working with end users - Travel Domestic/International less than 10% *Required Technical Competencies:* · Java 1.6 or higher, JSF, Spring, Hibernate, CSS, JSON, JavaScript, AJAX, JQUERY, OO Design & OO Programming, Eclipse IDE, JUnit, XML Technologies, JAX-WS, JAX-RS *Preferred Technical Competencies:* · Tamino XML Database *Additional Information:* · 35 hour work week. · No Overtime · Position start date - First or second week of January.
