*Description*





























*This position is responsible for planning, managing, and governing
releases for one or more Agile Release Trains. The Release Manager has the
requisite authorities and responsibilities to help guide the train towards
the business goals. The position will partner with IT Governance to ensure
compliance with project methodology and controls. The Release Manager must
understand project management processes and execution, as well as the
Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and leverage that knowledge to
understand impacts to projects, proactively manage risks, coordinate and
quickly resolve issues, and provide leadership and guidance to scrum teams.
This role is one that requires team leadership, business acumen, strong
relationship management skills within IT and the Business and ability to
address executive audiences. Essential Functions • Automating the software
development lifecycle with full requirements traceability • Providing tools
and guidance for automating quality assurance • Capturing and reporting on
metrics for the agile software development teams • Serving as the
gatekeeper for releases of software to production and implementation
readiness: o Validate software quality o Ensure release notes o Ensure
automated testing coverage o General implementation readiness assessments •
Coordinate go live activities with all necessary teams Desired Skills and
Experience Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or
related field • 2-6 years of previous release and/or project management
experience, (Solid understanding of project management principles
preferred) • 8-10 years of experience in information systems operations
environment in systems analysis or development • Formal training in project
management practices preferred • Advanced knowledge of software development
lifecycle • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams
toward task completion • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical
skills • Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills • PMP (Project Management
Professional) ® Certification • Master’s Degree from an accredited
college/university (MBA, Information Systems or Computer Science) *
