Mortgage QA Tester
NYC , NY 6 MONTHS + PHONE & F2F $450-50/hr C2C all inclusive *Do not send QA Testers without Mortgage, White Box Testing, and web experience* Looking for a technical white box QA programmer with 6-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing with a minimum of 2 years in leading quality assurance teams/groups in an agile environment preferably within Wealth Management domain. The person has to be a motivated leader, self-starter, and a strong team player and deal with PMs, BAs, and Development teams, working on various programs under mortgages risks and accounting spaces. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business and development as part of the practices defined by Test Driven Development (TDD)/Behavior Driven Development (BDD). Must use QA mindset and developer skills to drive testing of software solutions playing a variety of roles including conceptualization of quality assurance and test plans, hands-on development of the .net/java technology stack to support Gherkin/Cucumber based tests, implementing test automation and creating “how-to” documents for business under supervision as part of a larger project. This role will work with a team consists of FTE, FTC, onshore/offshore personnel leading manual and automated testing efforts. Skills Required Relevant BA/BS or equivalent technical training and professional work experience Strong functional knowledge on end to end Mortgages origination, funding, and servicing 5+ years of experience in writing test plan, strategy and test cases from business/IT requirements. Highly skilled testing in UNIX/Linux, & Windows application Knowledge of web services (SOAP, REST) using Java and knowledge of TDD/BDD frameworks 3+ years of database testing experience in SQL, Sybase/Oracle, DB2. Experience in Message-based testing using XML family including XML, XPATH, XSLT SOAP and MQ Series or similar products Solid knowledge of software engineering principles. Hands on with Agile (scrum) methodology with proven knowledge on various software development model, various phases of SDLC, project and QA life cycle, and testing methodologies. Knowledge of Continuous integration methodologies and building automated tests to integrate into Process Must have solid understanding on test data, data quality and data management. Strong analytical, profiling and troubleshooting skills Strong understanding of continuous integration and tools/framework like Cucumber, nunit, SpecFlow, Jenkins, concordian, junit or similar. Skills Desired Knowledge of Autosys/PERL/Shell script and Informatica is a huge plus.
