Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer/Technical Lead Location: Arlington, VA Job Type: US citizen(security clearance) Job Description: Seeking a Senior-Level Infrastructure Engineer to be a Technical Team Lead to help Federal clients achieve business objectives through the development and execution of pragmatic and innovative technology solutions.? This is an opportunity to help guide our clients as they investigate and leverage cloud, mobile, social and open source applications and solutions.? The successful candidate will provide knowledgeable network-related consulting advice, technical guidance and leadership to senior executives and other professionals. The ideal candidate has a general working knowledge of computer and network fundamentals, including an understanding of wireless networks and wireless security concepts (e.g., wireless intrusion detection and prevention systems).? This position requires a proactive, self-starter candidate.? The successful candidate will offer solutions to client challenges, and will work to drive project tasks forward. The Technical Team Lead will be responsible for the overall execution and delivery of an Enterprise Disaster Recovery project as well as other infrastructure related projects as they become available.? Success in this role requires the ability to engage our clients, communicate effectively with technical staff and manage multiple individuals supporting a project team and activities. The ideal candidate has strong ability to lead a team of infrastructure engineers in designing/architecting a solution, and extensive experience on the entire infrastructure stack from the components that make up the network up through the operating systems and solutions that reside on the network. The Technical Team Lead has a depth of experience and strong foundation in project management principles but brings a pragmatic approach to implementation and execution.? This role will be responsible for the formal planning, execution, analysis and reporting of project progress and the effective deployment of project staff. *The successful Senior-Level Infrastructure Engineer/ Technical Team Lead candidate must possess a working knowledge of network infrastructure. He or she will have familiarity with**:* - Strong experience in designing and deploying an Enterprise Disaster Recovery solution including network extensions, data replication, and system management. Understanding and management of RTO and RPOs is a must. - Enterprise System Management - SDLC principles and management - Core network concepts (Routing/Switching, LAN/WAN, Cloud). - Heterogeneous network environments (e.g, multi-vendor network environments such as Microsoft/Linux, Cisco/Juniper, Juniper/Palo Alto). - Duties relevant to drafting and tracking system requirements, and delivering and executing test plans. - Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and metric based reporting. Skills: - 5+ years of experience as an implementer with breadth and depth of architecting infrastructure solutions - Minimum of ?8 years of computer network experience, including network troubleshooting and triage experience. - Must be well versed with converged infrastructure that blends networking, server hardware and virtualization, and storage. - Extensive knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, and related hardware/software and familiarity with multiple OS environments. - Demonstrated understanding of infrastructure, networking and storage technologies working with SAN, CISCO, Citrix, Juniper, Palo Alto, Windows Server, Linux, VMWare, Exchange, SQL Server, IIS, SCCM & SCOM, and Cloud Architectures - Experience with Data Replication strategies such as NetApp SnapMirror, Host-Based Replication - Ability to lead teams in planning, designing and implementing solutions; from initial concepts through pilot and hand off - Ability to provide strategic directions to teams while effectively managing tactical project tasks, resources, and delivery schedule - Practitioner of operational and support processes and best practices (ITIL ITSM, Agile) - Good written and oral leadership communications skills - Ability to demonstrate up to date knowledge on new technologies trends and best practices - Experience delivering network logical topology, rack elevations, and data workflows utilizing Microsoft Visio. - Provide network performance monitoring and analysis (e.g., trend analysis, performance modeling and proactive/reactive capacity planning). - Work with external service providers regarding WAN/Internet connectivity. - Design, install, configure and maintain a secure, reliable, scalable and robust network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, wireless, and other network devices for the enterprise. - Motivated self-?starter with proven documentation abilities (e.g., documentation of SOP?s) - Ability to evaluate competing ideas and analyze trade-?offs. - Ability to handle cross-cutting duties. - Good written and oral communications skills. Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science, or engineering, or a similar degree, or 4 years additional work experience in related field.
