*Washington DC* *48-50/ hour* *FACE 2 FACE* *ONLY USC, GC* Responsibilities Storage Systems Administrator Administers multiple systems including regular after-hour & weekend supports and 24x7x365 in a 99.999% uptime environment Configure and deploy storage allocation across servers from different platforms (i.e. UNIX, and Linux); Incident, Problem and Change management of all Enterprise Storage infrastructure. Configure and administer Storage Area Network (SAN) and associated components; including Fiber Channel switch administration Configure and execute daily, weekly and monthly capacity and performance trending reports using Solarwinds Storage Manager Demonstrate deep technical experience including installing, integrating, implementing, and supporting a complex EMC NS960, NX4, VNX2, HP3PAR; HPMSA Demonstrate the ability to communicate technical concepts to colleagues on SAN related issues and/or tasks. Provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished, current issues, and progress toward goals. Provide technical presentations as necessary to communicate ongoing projects Establish upgrade processes, documentation, and test results of all Enterprise storage infrastructures in accordance with GAO infrastructure engineering standards. Monitor and pro-actively identify any potential SAN performance issues Participate in all phases of storage engineering, including design, analysis, and modeling at a highly technical level Perform Enterprise storage performance tuning, including monitoring enterprise storage platforms and taking corrective action to maximize enterprise storage availability. Tasks include storage capacity planning, forecast, optimization, process monitoring and controls. Provide tier-two escalation support to the Service Desk for performance issues related to Enterprise storage systems. Provision SAN storage to Windows, Red Hat Linux, VMware, and Solaris hosts. Provisioning includes raid groups, storage pools, hyper, & LUN creations. Review capacity and system performance data, predicting trends and potential issues Setup and take down SAN replications as needed The capability to create root cause documents and offering way's to protect the environment from the issues happening again. Triage Enterprise storage problems and issues. Perform detailed root cause analysis as necessary. Demonstrate proper crisis management response related to mission critical enterprise storage infrastructure problems Required: Basic Requirements The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a complex, fluid and fast-paced environment. As such, we are looking for someone with the following skill sets.
