Currently, a client in Wilmington, DE is looking for *Scrum Masters *to join their team on a long term contracting basis. There is also the possibility of going permanent with the end client. *Scrum Master Description: * Looking for a very strong Scrum Master with *at least 3 years as an IT PM.* This resource will be leading Agile project coordination to support upstream and downstream teams. Project Manager services include the management of complex, high value IT delivery projects that require the coordination of development work or technology work on multiple platforms to achieve desired functionality. Typically, the Scrum Master PM will lead a matrixed team and once the project is complete, the PM will move to another project that will have a different team mixture. Proven and substantial experience leading complex Agile development or IT technology projects (typically 6+ years) A thorough knowledge of the IT development life cycle, the Agile Framework and Scrum. Proficient in the use of Version One, the Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project and previous exposure to Clarity a plus! Strong written and oral communications *Specific role responsibilities include:* Schedule / facilitate sprint planning meeting(s) prior to the beginning of each sprint Communicate committed stories for the upcoming sprint to the backlog owner and stakeholders Support the Backlog Owner and Portfolio Manager in updating monthly the 30-60-90 release roadmap based on the health and priority of the stories of the backlog and planning poker estimates/sizing Schedule and facilitate daily stand up meetings Adding or removing stories based on burn-down of the current sprint (discuss w/ BSA and TPO or Lead BSA) Represent the team daily at the Scrum of Scrums (S2) meeting to report progress against burndown If deviating from the ideal burndown line then communicate teams plan/commitment to get back to the line, report impediments for escalation, identify risks/concerns to the S3 to help resolve Facilitate retrospective meetings at the end of each sprint / project – ensure highest priority retrospective points are followed up on and closed out Monitor team backlog in v1 daily and ensure it accurately reflects the current state, including time to be burned and status Coordinate as needed with other PM's, Resource Managers, or Portfolio Manages the delivery of non-development components Facilitate team representation in Sprint Reviews Participate in Release retrospective and cross team retrospectives Participate in customer councils if and when required Strong drive to complete when faced with ambiguity Ability to facilitate impediment resolution in a timely, cost effective manner Exposure to or participation in upstream coaching from an Agile mentor (Sr. Agile Coach) Helping to management the roadmap (1-3 months+) Manage business relationships Conduit to other teams and LOBs with which the team is interacting The candidate should have a proven ability to lead large/complex matrixed team from many different internal groups and different locations and drive results through task coordination, handoffs and overall delivery of solution *Requirements:* 3 years - Agile Experience 3 years - Scrum Master / Agile Coaching exp 1 - 3 years - Project Management exp 1 - 3 years - Financial industry exp Experience across many different size orgs and missions Experience with distributed teams, large teams Experience with 4 week Sprints Experience with Retrospectives, Standups Strong written and oral communications The candidate should have a proven ability to lead large/complex matrixed team from many different internal groups and different locations and drive results through task coordination, handoffs and overall delivery of solution. Provides process and technical direction to project managers and others, which may involve acting as a scrum coach. Consults on and utilizes latest rapid development or other non-sequential project methodologies. Serves as subject matter expert on Agile development methods and processes. Typically possesses most skills of the traditional project manager.
